Terms of Use

Handed Down Cookbook (“the app”) is published by Jekirdek (“we”). The app is licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement. The points below add to that agreement; where they differ, Apple’s agreement applies.
Your content is yours
The recipe cards, photos and words you add remain yours. We do not receive them and claim no rights to them. Please add only photos and writing you have the right to use, and ask family members before including their photos or stories in a book you share.
Recipes are shown as you provide them
The app shows your cards and the text you check; it never changes amounts, units or steps for you. Text read from a card can be wrong, so compare it with the original before relying on it. We are not responsible for the accuracy, safety or results of any recipe, including allergens, cooking temperatures and times.
Free use and the Unlimited purchase
- You can make a book of up to 3 recipes for free, without a watermark.
- “Unlimited” is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks unlimited recipes and books on your Apple Account. It is not a subscription.
- Payment and refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
- On a new device, use “Restore purchase” on the Unlimited screen to unlock it again.
- Not buying never deletes your content: the recipes you have stay viewable, editable and exportable.
Keeping your book safe
Your book is stored only on your iPhone. If you delete the app or lose your device, the book may be lost. Use “Back up book” to save a backup file somewhere safe. We cannot recover books for you.
Printing
The app creates PDF files sized for US Letter or 6×9 inch pages. Results depend on the printer or printing service you choose; we recommend a proof print before ordering many copies.
Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. The date above shows the latest version.
